<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Isn't that mud-play rendition of Beowulf a riot? I went to the festival in 1993 with a friend and it was a nice crisp and cool September day. Beautiful day in fact. That mud play made me laugh for days, and I also saw their version of Beowulf (they have several different stories in their repertoire). Was the sword swallower still performing? Amazing what someone can do with a real sword, with a real blade.Originally posted by D?l?i?e?:
We went to the Renaissance Festival (it was kids get in free weekend). I got a mug, son1 got a wooden sword, son2 got a copper rose, we had turkey legges and lots of diet Pepsi (good in the hot weather, but anachronistic). The shows were fun; there was an interesting rendition of Beowulf in a mud pit, and a comedy juggler that was very entertaining. It was good.
